Dr. David D. King Announces his run for Governor as an INDEPENDENT to Heal and Unite Wisconsin. We thank Governor Evers for his service.

Milwaukee, WI — Today Dr. David D. King extends his heartfelt thanks to Governor Tony Evers for his two terms of dedicated service to the people of Wisconsin. Governor Evers’ leadership through challenging times, especially during a global pandemic and economic uncertainty, has left an enduring impact on our state.

“Governor Evers has served with perseverance and a deep belief in public service,” said Dr. King. “While we may come from different perspectives, I honor his commitment to Wisconsin and thank him for answering the call to lead.”

As Wisconsin looks to the future, Dr. King is proud to announce his candidacy for Governor as an Independent. A respected community leader, pastor, and advocate for families, Dr. King believes it’s time to move beyond partisan politics and bring common-sense leadership that heals divisions, restores trust, and uplifts every community.

“Now is the time to break away from the old party lines and begin a new path forward,” Dr. King stated. “Wisconsin needs leadership that is not beholden to a party agenda but devoted to people over politics. I’m running for Governor to bring unity, rebuild trust, and help restore the strength and values that made Wisconsin great.”

Dr. King’s vision includes:

  • Strengthening our schools and empowering families

  • Rebuilding infrastructure and investing in safe communities

  • Providing accessible, affordable healthcare

  • Creating real economic opportunity for every Wisconsinite

  • Promoting transparency, accountability, and unity in state government

  •

As an Independent, Dr. King is committed to representing all Wisconsinites—Republicans, Democrats, and those tired of the partisan divide.

“It’s time to come together—not as partisans, but as neighbors, as families, and as Wisconsinites. We can heal our state. And together, we will.”
